Night of Science 2012 – a public event for everybody interested to learn more about natural sciences – took place on June 22, 2012. During the last years, team Bembelbots demonstrated soccer skills of their robots to the public. This year the RoboCup World Championship in Mexico took place in the same week and thus our robot staff members couldn’t attend the NOS. So we decided to give one of the lectures at NOS, a talk presented by Dr. Holger Friedrich with the title “Soccer coach at Goethe University, How to teach robots to play soccer?” (” Fußballtrainer an der Uni Frankfurt. Wie bringt man Robotern das Kicken bei?”).
